Your weekly update on all things compost related!
The compost is composting.

This is the process and it is processing. Also, in other great news, we got a new tool for the garden after our previous hand tool was vandalized and broken. It’s a much needed upgrade, and we take it home with us to sterilize and sharpen.

Apologies if updates have been short as of late. We’ve been working hard to get ready for our collaborative affiliation with the NOLA Artist Incubator! We’re thrilled to be offering space at the Galvez Garden for the inaugural Artist-in Residence, Professor Anna K. Lemnitzer. In just a few short weeks she’ll be presenting her work, in the form of a living installation, to the public. We’re thrilled to be working with this non profit to support introducing more artistic green infrastructure into the community.
Thanks to everyone who diverted food waste from our landfills. We’re crazy enough to stay open for collecting throughout the summer. Come drop your frozen food scraps off at the Galvez Garden, 2317 N Galvez St, 10am-1pm on Sundays. Happy composting, growing, and making to y’all!
