Collaborative Learning, Teaching And Artistic Experimentation In Our Urban Garden
Our teaching garden provides a green learning environment for the community and gifts artists a space to create. Located in the St. Roch neighborhood of New Orleans, the Galvez Garden offers NOLA Artist Incubator a space to provide educational programming and Artist-in-Residency opportunities for collaborative creative experimentation and expression in the fields of environmental art, green architecture, and community gardening.

Southern artists with interests experimenting in green architecture, environmental art installations, or hosting workshops connecting art and nature are encouraged to apply for NOLA Artist Incubator’s Artist-in-Residence program. Examples of projects include conducting a workshop for the community on site or creating nature inspired or environmentally focused artist installations at the garden.
